After nine years in hiding, authorities captured on June 30 a 56-year-old man wanted for frustrated murder in Apayao at his residence in Barangay Baoyan, Boliney in Abra.

Personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Cordillera arrested Dapolay Pait, 56, through the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Quirino Andaya of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 62 in Luna, Apayao dated Dec. 15, 2011 for frustrated murder.

Pait was listed as Apayao’s number seven most wanted person for the first quarter of 2019.

The CIDG under officer-in-charge Lt/Col. Melvin Napiloy, reported that its operatives have been tracking Pait since 2011 but he was constantly on the move to evade arrest.
