TESDA opens doors for TWSP applicants

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority is calling on applicants for training in Slaughtering Operations NC II under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).

Provincial Director Angela Gabriel called on interested individuals to begin availing of the program.

The applicant should be 18 years old and a high school graduate. The award is on a first-come-first-served basis.

Applicants may drop by the Tesda-Benguet office at AD Tan Bldg., Km. 4, La Trinidad.

Other short courses could also be enrolled in at Tesda-accredited schools, in Baguio and Benguet.

Gabriel also called on interested individuals for the 4th assessment of walk-in industry workers, TVI, DepEd trainers, drivers, practitioners, professional, career, shifters and Overseas Filipino Workers.

The assessment is free and the National Certificate or Certificate of Competency to successful candidates will be issued immediately.

Programs include bookkeeping NC III, bread and pastry production NC II, bartending NC II, cookery NC II, computer hardware servicing NC II, food and beverage services NC II and III, front office services NC II, housekeeping NC II, horticulture NC II, security services NC II, automotive servicing NC II and NC III, driving NC II and NC III, carpentry NC II, electrical installation and maintenance NC II, masonry NC II, flux cord arc welding NC II, gas metal arc welding NC II and shielded metal arc welding NC II.

Self-assessment guides or candidate’s guide and application forms may be downloaded from It should be filled-up and submitted by the applicant, with a photocopy of a certificate of employment and three pieces passport size photo.

Trainers and workers can file their applications on or before May 12, at the Tesda -CAR Training Center, Loakan Road and School of Arts and Trades, Upper Session Road.
