Mayor tells sikyu: wear proper uniforms
by Gaby B. Keith

Mayor Mauricio Domogan ordered security personnel of a private firm assigned at Burnham and Mines View parks to wear their uniforms when on duty.

He made the appeal in a recent executive-legislative meeting at City Hall.

Councilor Leandro Yangot, Jr. informed the mayor that when the former recently visited the tourist spots, he noticed that several of the security personnel assigned in the areas are not in their proper uniforms.

Domogan directed the General Services Office to remind the private security agency about the provisions of the contract it entered with the city that includes the use of designated attire when on duty.

He said that the non-wearing of uniforms and bad grooming when on duty leaves a bad impression to visitors and residents.

Baguio City Police Office Chief Ramil Saculles, for his part, said that he always reminds his personnel to wear their uniforms and be well groomed when they are doing their rounds.

The mayor also requested the City Environment Parks and Management Office under Cordelia Lacsamana to have the public announcement systems in both parks to announce the city’s ant-littering, smoking, graffiti, and other campaigns.

“Visitors should treat Baguio as their home-away-from-home and follow all its rules and regulations in making it clean and green for everyone to enjoy,” he said.
