The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) is hosting the ASEAN Invitational Philatelic Exhibit (ASEANPEx) 2017 from started Nov. 4 to 6 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

“As host country, we believe that this is also a great opportunity for us to showcase the world-class tourist destinations in the country, the unique Philippine biodiversity and of course, our colorful culture and history,” PHLPost Assistant Postmaster General for Marketing and Management Support Services Luis D. Carlos said.

This year’s exhibit carries the theme “ASEANPEx 2017: Exploring the beauty and diversity of ASEAN culture and tradition.” Ambassadors, dignitaries from other ASEAN countries, heads from various government sectors, celebrities and other personalities, students, philatelist, and other enthusiasts are expected to attend.

ASEANPEx is a showcase of stamps and other philatelic products from the 10 ASEAN countries featuring current issuances, as well as rare and collector’s item stamps.

The event will also highlight a 200-frame display of rare and winning stamp collections from ASEAN member states, lectures on philately, and interactive booths.

The Philippines last hosted the ASEANPEx in 1996 at the SM Mega Trade Hall in Mandaluyong City.
