PNP-Ifugao ops yield 16 wanted persons

ALFONSO LISTA, Ifugao – The One-Time, Big-Time simultaneous operation of the Ifugao Police Provincial office province wide has yielded 16 wanted persons of various crimes in the different municipalities of Ifugao.

The operation includes the serving of warrants of arrest, search warrants, and enforcement of special laws.

Personnel of Alfonso Lista Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) together with the augmented Ifugao Provincial Public Safety Company (IPPSC) led by S/Insp. Edwin Fucasan served 15 warrants of arrest that led to the arrest of five persons wanted for grave coercion, violation of the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines and one wanted person charged for two counts of attempted homicide.

In Lamut, tracker teams led by Chief of Police, Sr./Insp. Edgar Tapo with the Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Branch (PIDMB) led by C/Insp. Ayson Tenenan arrested two wanted persons for robbery with violence against persons, and reckless imprudence resulting in damage.

Combined elements of PIDMB, PIB and MPS of Kiangan and Asipulo arrested two suspects wanted for violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 and for acts of lasciviousness, respectively.

Also in Aguinaldo, police arrested one wanted person for acts of lasciviousness, while police in Lagawe and Asipulo recovered 56 pieces of assorted sizes of abandoned sawn lumber with an approximate total volume of 397 board feet.

In line also with Oplan “Greyhound” of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and the Kiangan MPS Oplan Galugad at the Ifugao District Jail, Tiger Hill led to the confiscation of improvised pointed objects, knives, electric cords, lighters, concrete nails, scissors and other sharp objects.

Seven loose firearms and four firearms with expired licenses were voluntarily surrendered and were deposited at Lamut MPS for safekeeping.

Ifugao PNP Director S/Supt. Constancio Chinayog, Jr. said their accomplishments speaks of the dedication and commitment of PNP-Ifugao to give justice to the victims of crimes, and is a clear manifestation that criminals can never escape the law.
