5,200 enroll in Tabuk CNSH modular classes
by Larry T. Lopez / PIA

TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Some 5,257 students enrolled in the modular class of  the  Tabuk City National High School for school year 2020-2021.

TCNHS Principal Mildred Cabay said enrolment this school year increased by 9.5 percent  compared to last year’s 4,800. She attributed the increase to the transfer of students from other private schools and those coming home under the Balik Probinsya program of the government.

This school year, TCNHS will offer modular modality.

Distribution of modules will start Oct. 2.

In the far-flung barangays, TCNHS teachers and staff going home on weekends bring with them the modules which they turn over in the barangay halls which serve as pick up centers.

For students living within the city, parents can get the modules directly at the TCNHS. Pick-up and retrieval of modules is every Friday.

As supplement to modular learning, Cabay said online instruction and profiling of students is now being done.

As preparation to the opening of the school year, the school has reached-out to parents during the 52 barangay-level sessions of parent’s orientation, Cabay said.

She solicited the cooperation of parents and LGUs to make the school year productive.
