The Guardians Brotherhood launch Green Go
by Ben A. Bentican

The regional officers and staff of the Philippines Guardians Brotherhood, Inc. (PGBI), launched its “Green Go” program of free community services at the Josefa Cariño Elementary School last week, coinciding with the Brigada Ekwela.

With its motto of service, prosperity, peace, integrity and equality, regional chairman Prosecutor Elmer Sagsago, regional adviser Councilor Joel Alangsab; liaison officer Pionciano Serran Jr., and school principal Dr. Benita Eleponga, led the team in repairing desks and tables, painting the roofs and walls, and cleaning the school grounds, gutters and canals, in time for tomorrow’s opening of classes.

Sagsago looks forward to the signing of a memorandum of agreement between DepEd-Baguio and PGBI to adopt Josefa Carino for quarterly free manpower services on school maintenance under the Green Go program.

Green Go is a nationwide movement of the PGBI under its national president Sen. Gregorio Honasan. It extends its services to maintaining public parks, planting trees in watersheds, and cleaning streets and barangays, including markets and schools.
