BONTOC, Mountain Province – The provincial government lauded the Director of the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (MPPPO) for his exemplary leadership in his one-year stay here.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan in Resolution 2017-498 commended S/Supt. Tellio C. Ngis-o who assumed office on Nov. 23, 2016 and has been instrumental in the declaration of Mountain Province as a drug-cleared province.

The resolution stated that under Ngis-o, the Mountain Province PNP has been true to its role as keeper of peace and order as manifested by the decrease of crime incidence in the province.

With his support and initiative, Rev. Marcial C. Castañeda was inspired to compose the drug-free song of Mountain Province which was adopted by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan as the official campaign song in the province’s fight against illegal drugs.

The measure added that “under his leadership, an unprecedented cooperation of the police with the local political leaders and the various sectors of the community in the fighting all forms of criminality has been forged.”

Acting Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. who handed the commendation to Ngis-o reiterated the province’s gratitude for his sincerity, dedication, and commitment in serving the people of the province.
