Family Month activities out

Various events have been lined up in observance of the Family Month, which will start on Sept. 3.

The activities will be done in coordination with government offices, senior citizens, the academe, peace and order personnel, and socio-civic and non-government organizations.

On Sept. 7, a lecture on laws on civil registration, community protocol and networking for daycare workers as sponsored by the Balikatan sa Kaunlaran (BSK) will be conducted at the Senior Citizen Center Function Hall at Salud Mitra from 8 to 11 a.m.

On Sept. 14, the Health Services Office (HSO), Baguio Center for Young Adults (BCYA), and BSK will conduct an “Enabling adolescent girls for health and development” forum for 70 participants, also at the Senior Citizen Center, from 8 to 11 a.m. 

Health enthusiasts are invited to join the zumba on Sept. 21, from 4 to 5 p.m., at the City Hall grounds.

For the mass wedding on Sept. 22 at the SM event center, couples are being urged to attend the marriage enrichment counseling on Sept. 13, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the City Hall multipurpose hall. They should also attend the tree planting at Burnham Park.

Interested couples may get in touch with the Office of Councilor Lilia Fariñas or the CSWDO  at 442-38-42/442-7893.

Family members of elderly individuals or caregivers are invited to attend a forum sponsored by the Federation of Senior Citizens at on Sept. 27, 1 p.m., at the City Hall multipurpose hall.

The theme for the 2018 Family Month celebration is, “Tungo sa maginhawa at panatag na pamilyang Pilipino.”
