by PIA-Mountain Province

BONTOC, Mountain Province – The province has lined up various activities in celebration of the 118th Philippine Civil Service anniversary this month.

With the theme “Lingkod bayan: maka-Diyos, makatao, makabansa,”  the celebration will be launched during the flag-raising ceremony jointly sponsored by the Arescom, Civil Service Commission provincial office, and Mountain Province State Polytechnic College on Sept. 3 at the Provincial Plaza.

On Sept. 6, the provincial government will spearhead “A walk to serve, a walk for health,” in which employees and volunteers will walk from the Provincial Plaza to designated areas. Along their way, participants will pick trash.

They may also donate a minimum of P30, which shall be submitted to the Bontoc General Hospital as financial assistance to patients undergoing dialysis.

On Sept. 7, the provincial government will have an outreach program in Barangay Pusong, Anabel in Sadanga.

During the flag-raising ceremony on Sept. 10, the provincial government will launch the Search for the 2018 Best Performing Employees. Deadline of submission of nominations is on Oct. 31 at the Provincial Human Resource and Management Office.

The Department of Health has also sponsored the conduct of acupuncture on Sept. 10, 17, and 24. Random blood sugar test, uric acid test, blood pressure taking, and body mass index assessment are set on Sept. 11 and 12 in coordination with the Provincial Health Office.

Special treats for provincial government employees will be provided by Mary Kay Cosmetics every afternoon of Sept. 13, 20, and 27.

On Sept. 28, there will be a competition showcasing the talents of provincial employees in depicting either “Maka-Diyos,” “makatao,” or “makabayan” theme.
