6 from Cordi are semi-finalists in CSC awards

The Civil Service Commission as the program administrator of the Honor Awards Program hereby announces the result of the evaluation and deliberation made by the Committee on Lingkod Bayan and Pagasa Awards on the nominations for this year’s Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees (SOPOE).

The following nominees are declared as semi-finalists for the 2008 Lingkod Bayan Award: Warren Ambat, teacher II, Baguio City National High School; Nora Amowas, special education teacher III, Special Education Center; Celia Flor Brillantes, medical officer V, City Health Office; Evelyn Joyce Taguiba, principal IV, Mountain Province General Comprehensive High School; and George Vidal Jr., Teacher II, Quirino Hill Elementary School.

Semi-finalist for Pagasa Award: Regina Sarmiento, master teacher II, La Trinidad Central School.

The entire bureaucracy and other concerned citizens are enjoined to send in their feedback, positive or otherwise, regarding the above-enumerated semi-finalists to the Honor Awards Program Secretariat through fax number (632) 932-0179; e-mail addresses hap@csc.gov.ph; csc_paio@yahoo.com or through TXTCSC 0917-839-8272.

Deadline for the submission of feedback is on June 30.

Recognition and conferment of awards to winners shall be during the month-long celebration of the anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service in September.

Lingkod Bayan awardees will receive a gold (gilded) medallion, a plaque containing the citation and signature of the President of the Philippines, and cash award of P100,000. The Pagasa awardee, individual or group, shall receive a gold (gilded) medallion, a plaque containing the citation and signature of the chairperson of the CSC, and P50,000 cash reward.
