TLC 12: Pinoys versus foreign MMA fighters

Two upcoming MMA fighters will electrify fight fans with their fighting skills as they headline the Team Lakay Championship 12 at the Baguio Convention Center on Feb. 25.

The undefeated Rizalino Olivar Jr. of La Trinidad, Benguet will go toe to toe with Michael Fangki of Mountain Province.

Olivar, who holds an MMA record of 8-0, will enter the cage as a heavy favorite but Fangki, who has four wins and one loss, is prepared to secure an upset win.

Co-headlining the event are Mark Tidang representing the Philippines, against Morteza Minbashi of Iran. The bout is expected to draw young fans from the region.

Eight supporting bouts are also lined up, with Llordgodwin Langyaban of Mankayan going against Junior Diapolet of Davao, Del Norte.Jaybee Ban-eg of Mountain Province will face Mhel Remolar.

Ban-eg and Remolar are among the upcoming fighters who have nailed impressive wins in previous MMA tournaments.

Also to see action are Gabriel Dares of Baguio fighting Dave Banguigui of Mountain Province while South Korea’s Daniel Gwon will be up against Abdullah Sabri of Palestine.

Aldwin Nicdao of Baguio will test his mettle against Jerry Olsim of Bokod, Benguet with Vincent Velaque of Kapangan, Benguet fighting Noel Gulod of Mountain Province.

Jhan Serbo of San Fernando, La Union will square off against Christoper Miguel of Tuba, Benguet while Jhayson Cosme of Baguio is ready for a battle against Xavier Villanueva of Tuba, Benguet.

TLC 12 is one of the sanctioned events of the 2017 Panagbenga celebrations.

Over the years, TLC has brought out the best of Cordilleran fighters, who now contract with some of the known MMA promotions in Asia and the Pacific.
