Twelve elementary and eight secondary schools from the La Trinidad district received access points, switch hubs, and networking tools for the operation of their Learning Management System (LMS).

The equipment were distributed to school heads of Ambiong Elementary School, Balili ES, Balukas ES, Bodiweng ES, Lubas ES, Pagal ES, Pico ES, Puguis ES, La Trinidad Central School, Talinguroy ES, Tawang ES, and Buyagan ES on Oct. 18.

Secondary schools Alno National High School, Ambiong NHS, Benguet NHS, Bineng NHS, Cordillera Regional Science HS, Eastern La Trinidad NHS, La Trinidad NHS, and Puguis NHS received their equipment on Oct. 22.

During the distribution, Benguet NHS ICT Coordinator Eugene A. Espiritu, together with the Benguet Schools Division Office’s LMS technical group headed by Eric Wanson, assisted school ICT coordinators in setting up and configuring the equipment for LMS use.

Benguet Schools Division Superintendent Gloria B. Buya-ao encouraged the recipient schools to maximize the use of LMS as an alternative mode of delivering quality basic education aside from the use of printed modules.

The LMS is an effective and responsive way for teachers to deliver, manage, and monitor their classes. It combines multiple forms of learning including eLearning, simulation-based learning, and mobile learning, even classroom-based learning.

Learners using LMS can set their own pace while complying with the deadlines and therefore they have greater control and freedom over their lessons. – Press release
