A total of 29 Muslim students of the Al-Maarif Educational Center in Baguio returned to their homes after they were stranded during the community quarantine.

With the help of the Department of Transportation-Land Transportation Office-Cordillera and National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), the students were ferried to the Port in Manila on board a Genesis bus.

LTO-Cordillera Director Francis Ray Almora said the group is the second batch of Muslim students who were aided by the government to go home to their respective provinces.

NCMF Director Abel Macarimpas said that most of the students under the Arabic Learning Institute studying Islamic Theology will go home to Mindanao. – PNA
