It is a feat worthy of being recorded in the history of Philippine licensure examinations.
On Aug. 24, the Professional Regulation Commission announced seven students of Saint Louis University School of Engineering and Architecture landed in the top 10 of the 2021 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination conducted last Aug. 18.
All those in the top 10 are graduates of universities outside Metro Manila.
Of the 621 examinees, the top four spots, the sixth, eighth, and 10th spots were all from SLU.
In top one is Nathaniel Beaver A. Mendoza with a rating of 90.05 percent, top two is Christian Justin M. Sese with 89.90 percent, top three is Jayshey W. Baguidudol with 89.70 percent, top four is Marvin Louis S. Ferrer with 89.65 percent, top six is Emmanuel F. Villasin with 88.50 percent, top eight is Jezreel John P. Sannadan with 88.25 percent, and top 10 is Mario A. Ibay with 88 percent.
One hundred three others out of the 149 examinees from SLU also passed the board exam.
In top five is Karlo S. Ornieta of Ateneo de Davao University with 89.05 percent, top seven is Alec Christian M. Cervantes of the University of Mindanao-Davao City with 88.35 percent, top nine are Brian Dominick M. Dinglasan of University of Batangas and Earl Jerico B. Ricalde of President Ramon Magsaysay State University-Iba, both with 88.05 percent.
