Two outdoor activities for trail run and enduro bike enthusiasts are set in Baguio City and Tublay, Benguet.

The virtual run in Baguio organized by Virago Bike and Run Events ends today, Nov. 22, at the newly launched trail route at Purok Arupong, Loakan Proper.

The event features three categories: three-hour challenge, one lap challenge, and a kiddie race. Originally set on Nov. 14 and 15, the run was postponed for a week due to Typhoon Ulysses.

Organizers have limited the number of participants in the virtual run as the track is only three kilometers long, with only 15 runners per category allowed to run in the three-hour race and 20 per category allowed in the one-lap run.

Only 20 participants per category were allowed in the eight to 12 years old race.

As a virtual race, participants run through the trail route and upload their best time through the running application, Strava, a GPS cycling and running app that tracks movements.

Set on Nov. 23 is “The Ridge Downduro,” a fun ride for-a-cause for those affected by the recent typhoon in Cagayan.

Set by 18 Degrees Outdoor, the activity caters to 100 participants only as a safety protocol and with no age limit.

Riders will assemble at the ridge at Km. 18 in Ambassador, Tublay from 7 to 9 a.m. while the run time is set from 9 to 11 a.m.

Participation fee is P150 with meals and medals.

Five riders and one guide will be released every two minutes to avoid overcrowding.
