The Covid-19 pandemic is not the only health concern that should be addressed.
As restrictions are slowly being eased, a group of doctors will be spearheading a surgical mission for those with cysts, tumors, kidney stones or gallstones, and hernia.
Bannering the theme, “Surgery for a cause: Surgeons saving lives,” the project is a collaboration of the Saint Louis University Hospital of the Sacred Heart (SLUSHS) Department of Surgery and ENT and the Gonzalo and Charity Ong Foundation.
Over the years, the SLUSHS and the Gonzalo and Charity Ong Foundation have been conducting the free surgery for patients who lack finances to undergo various surgical procedures.
Countless patients have since benefited from the free surgery project.
This year, the surgery will be conducted from March 31 to April 7.
