Five top most wanted persons were among the 20 individuals arrested during a four-day simultaneous anti-criminality and law enforcement operation conducted by personnel of the Baguio City Police Office on June 21 to 24.
BCPO Director, Col. Glenn Lonogan, reported the city level top most wanted persons include two females aged 35 and 37 for estafa and a 43-year-old for violation of the law against child abuse and exploitation.
A 26-year-old male wanted for attempted homicide and 31-year-old wanted for statutory rape were the two other TMWP arrested.
Lonogan reported the 12 other individuals were arrested through warrants of arrest for various crimes and offenses.
The operation also resulted in the arrested of three alleged drug peddlers, including a 28-year-old female, who is labeled as a high-value target, and seizure of more than 40 grams of shabu worth of P273,000.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the suspects.
BCPO operatives also confiscated 15 firearms during an operation on unregistered and unlicensed guns and ammunitions.
