Bike enthusiasts are invited to join the Baguio La Trinidad-Itogon-Sablan-Tuba-Tublay Bike Challenge on June 30.

Organized by All Out Multisports in partnership with the city government of Baguio, the event will feature a route with the scenic and iconic landmarks around BLISTT.

The organizers said bikers can customize their own routes but have to complete the race within 12 hours.

“Participants are allowed to create their own route as long as they are able to visit all the designated pitstops for each city and municipalities,” the organizer said.

The race will start and finish at The Mansion while pit stops will be at the Lion’s head, Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad, Via Von Joy in Itogon, Banangan View Deck in Sablan, Mt. Sto. Tomas radar in Tuba, and Beacon Hill in Tublay.

Starting gun will be at 5:30 a.m.

The event is part of the Sang-atan Bike Festival which was launched on June 3 to mark World Bicycle Day.

Part of the lineup of events is the bike mechanic Olympics on June 23, Sang-at Silaw tour of the lights on July 5, bike exposition on July 10 and July 14, “Hari ng Ahon” criterium on July 13, kiddie race and Shimano gravel adventure on July 14, and charity ride on July 21.

The two-month event is with the theme: “A BLISTTful community: Fostering road sharing towards safety and wellness.”

“This year’s theme highlights our commitment to enhancing cyclo-tourism, promoting overall fitness, cultivating a healthier, more vibrant community, and advocating for road-sharing to ensure safer roads for everyone,” the City Public Information Office said.
