American mixed martial arts fighter Jarred Brooks conti-nues with his psychological warfare approach against Team Lakay’s Lito Adiwang and world champion Joshua Pacio.

Of late, Brooks said Adiwang, currently ranked fifth in the strawweight division, is a better fighter than Pacio.

Earlier, Brooks called Pacio out for a possible championship bout even if the American fighter has not yet proven his mettle in ONE Championship after his stint with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Pacio has responded by claiming that Brooks needs to fight first the other contenders for the title before calling him out.

Brooks is scheduled to fight Adiwang in the main event of ONE: NextGen III in Singapore on Nov. 26, but continues with his tirade on Pacio.

“I think Lito is the best strawweight in the division besides myself, so starting out on the hard note is a great way to start,” Brooks said.

He even went as far to say that Adiwang is better than Pacio, the champion who held the belt for the better part of the past two years.

“It’s a game of inches and Lito and Josh are great on the feet, but I think Lito is a little bit better on the feet than Josh is. And as far as the jiu-jitsu and the wrestling aspect, it seems that Lito is catching up fairly quickly compared to Josh,” Brooks added.

That’s why Brooks is taking exception to Adiwang’s earlier statements where the ONE Super Series winner said he was open to the possibility of him being Pacio’s gatekeeper of sorts. – Harley F. Palangchao
