PARACELIS, Mountain Province – The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office here has donated P20,000 each to three hospitals in the province to help in the fight  against the Covid-19 pandemic.

CENR Officer-in-Charge Gilbert Mangliwan turned over the donation to Dr. Presencia Matib of the Paracelis District Hospital in Paracelis, Dr. Bevelyn Agagon of the Anastacia Rafael-Sagel Memorial Hospital in Natonin, and Dr. Gina Buyokan Barlig District Hospital in Barlig.

Personnel of Cenro Paracelis shared their one-day salary to help the hospitals in the eastern part of the province, especially in providing personal protective equipment for their health workers as they attend to Covid-19 suspects. 

The Cenro earlier donated various sizes of lumber to the Paracelis District Hospital for the construction of dividers for isolation rooms in its Covid-19 isolation facility.

In observance of Environment Month, Cenro personnel also planted 300 assorted narra and mahogany saplings at an old reforestation site in Simmacbot, Anonat.

Personnel of the Philippine National Police and the local government unit also participated in the activity.

Mangliwan said they will invite other government agencies and stakeholders to take part in nurturing the environment by planting trees amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. – PIA release
