“I, my husband, and my family find joy in serving that is why we do not stop serving the people. We reach out to them.”
This is the beautiful line whenever I ask madame Charito Bacullo regarding their annual CFB medical mission. The family will always acknowledge God and the people supporting their annual medical mission.
Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. (Acts 3:6-7)
CFB Marketing and Merchandise has been lovingly and generously serving Mountain Province for 26 years.
CFB stanbds for Charito Fagyan Bacullo, the founder, owner, and the initiator of the yearly medical mission.
On May 20 and 21, the CFB conducted medical missions in Sadanga and Sagada. Hundreds of beneficiaries were loaded with joy meeting the Fagyan and Bacullo families while benefiting from the medical mission with general medical check-up with free medicines and goods, dental check-up, basic laboratory testing on site.
They also taught basic trauma life support training and blood donation drive.
Then and until now, barangays Aguid, Tanulong, Kilong, Bangaan, and Ankileng, all in Sagada have been blessed with the medical mission this year.
One unique feature of the CFB medical mission is the family’s giving profound importance to the holy mass.
Before the mission, Charito makes sure a mass is conducted first. I admire such deep devotion to the Holy Eucharist and it spells the deep spirituality and faith of the family.
In my homily, I added meanings of CFB. Letter “C”stands for charity, which sounds like Charito to mean love and the husband Amore to mean love as well.
The couple and the family are indeed a Christian family of love and using that love as the motivation to serve well the community.
“F” stands for faith and family. The Fagyan and Bacullo families undoubtedly are blessed with strong faith and this faith is keeping them as good Christians in the business world and in society.
Baket Lapu, their older sister has been serving the church so generously until she had a stroke. She gifted priests woven fabrics, pinagpagan during their ordinations and I was a beneficiary.
The Fagyan and Bacullo families are happily serving the church especially the needy.
“B” stands for beauty. This is the adjective I can rightly say for the annual medical mission being conducted. Beauty is an attribute of God that resonates to the beauty of creation and beauty of the human person. Real beauty therefore is not only physical but the well-being, totality, wholeness of the human person called integrity. When the human person lives in integrity, he and she is a beautiful person. Let beauty overcome the evils of the world.
We thank the CFB for being God sent to many families and to all the people in need of medical assistance.
Chato once said, “Amidst the charity works, we encounter many challenges that test and try our life and business. But with our strong faith in God we are made stronger and even more successful.”
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:6)

I wish to thank all of you for the constant prayers and financial support rendered to my brother Ferdinand Castañeda who underwent a critical heart surgery.
The heart procedures were blessed by God through good doctors and caring nurses of Notre Dame de Chartres Hospital. It was successful.
The prayers, visits, and care of people, friends, and family aided in his fast recovery but I still request for your constant prayers for his complete healing. Complete healing happens in Jesus.
