Eight more gyms and fitness studios in Baguio were given a go-signal to resume their operations after clearance by the City Sports and Recreation Division (CSRD).

As of June 15, the gyms and fitness studios given special permits to operate while Baguio is under modified general community quarantine are Fitstyle Gym at Bonifacion Street; Puyat Sports at Baguio Centermall; Muscle Arts Fitness Studio at Asin Road; Redcorner Fitness Center along Naguillian Road; Fitworks Gym at Ferguson Road; Pound-for-Pound Fitness at Station 120, Lower Gen. Luna Road; Fitness Factory Gym at Jose de Leon building, Session Road; and Shape Up (badminton courts only) at Cooyeesan Hotel Plaza.

Paul Rillorta of the CSRD said these fitness centers  have completed the requirements to resume operation.

These facilities recently given permits have bowling alleys, badminton courts, dart and billiard halls, and aerobics and yoga centers.

On June 10, the CSRD also allowed the resumption of  operation of Altitude Gym at Mt. Crest Hotel Legarda Road; Pranalaya Wellness Hub at Montinola Subdivision, Burnham-Legarda barangay; NCH Gym at New Lucban, and Muscle and Wellness Gym at Camp 7.

The national Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging and Infectious Diseases earlier allowed the opening of golf courses, tennis courts and even swimming pools, on top of the earlier declaration that jogging, walking, running, Zumba, biking and badminton are allowed during the MGCQ.

Registration is also ongoing at City Hall for other non-contact sports facilities that want to resume operation.

For those wanting to get a wellness pass, they must register online to pass.baguio.gov.ph and fill in the required fields.
