City officials provided for the breakdown of the medical assistance for indigent patients at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) amounting to P5,213,085.07 from the 2022 appropriation under the non-office account, particularly the support to national offices.
Under Resolution 509, s. 2022, the legislators said there is a need for a new breakdown of the said medical assistance to include the four new members of the council.
This year, the city government appropriated P12.6 million as financial assistance to indigent patients at the BGHMC.
The council said as per memorandum of agreement signed with BGHMC, P5.1M from the 2022 appropriation under the non-office account, particularly the support to national offices, specifically BGHMC, shall be used as additional medical assistance for indigent patients pursuant to Resolution 99, s. 2009.
As of Oct. 31, P5,213,085.07 as medical assistance is still available for disposition.
The amount reflects the corresponding balance for each official.
The council said P210,421.87 and P403,831.87 in excess of this year’s allocations shall be charged against the 2023 allocations of the city council members concerned. – PIO release
