Grantees of the City Social Welfare and Development Office educational financial assistance will receive their financial assistance on Jan. 13 at the Baguio Convention Center.
The grantees have been informed of the mass release of their cash benefits, the CSWDO said.
Beneficiaries should have a parent or guardian plus identification cards with them when they receive their money.
The 314 grantees comprise the first batch of beneficiaries of the city’s College Educational Financial Assistance Grant, according to City Social Welfare and Development Office representative Cynthia Langagan.
The cash benefit to be received is for the first semester of school year 2020-2021 while screening and deliberation will be done next month for the beneficiaries for the second semester.
They are part of the 800 target beneficiaries of the local government unit-sponsored financial assistance for poor but deserving students which was launched November last year.
The program is anchored on Ordinance 116, s. 2019, which allotted P10 million for the grant. – PIO
