Theories continue to abound about the Covid-19, but medical experts emphasized the public should rely only on official sources, albeit information about the SARS-CoV2 is evolving.
Data from the Department of Health-Cordillera shows the virus does not discriminate gender, age, or whatever circumstance a person has.
Anyone can be infected but initial data shows that those who are exposed to patients, the elderly, and those with underlying diseases are more susceptible.
Of the 45,131 Covid-19 cases in the region, there were 23,009 females, or 50.98 percent affected with an age range of two days old to 120 years old.
Of the 844 Covid-19-related deaths as of Aug. 10, the age range was one-day-old to 102 years old, majority of which 503 were males or 59.60 percent.
The most common co-morbidities were hypertension with 296 or 39.47 percent, diabetes with 177 or 23.60 percent, heart disease with 83 or 11.07 percent, kidney disease with 77 or 10.27 percent, and lung disease with 45 or 6.00 percent.
