BANGUED, Abra – The Council of Personnel Officers (CPO)-Abra reached out to children in conflict with the law (CICL) in Barangay Calaba.
CPO Abra President Pinky Leonor led the giving of meals and Christmas gifts to 24 CICLs at Bahay Pag-asa.
They also provided entertainment for the Bahay Pag-asa residents.
“We’ve thought of sharing these blessings with you instead of celebrating a Christmas program on our own so we had this outreach program here in Bahay Pag-asa,” Leonor said.
The outreach program was supported by Civil Service Commission-Abra under Provincial Director Emily Balungay, the Provincial Government and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
“Jonathan,” one of the CICLs, thanked the CPO-Abra for sharing their blessings to them.
“Maraming salamat sa CPO at Bahay Pag-asa dahil patuloy na naaayos ang aking mga pagkakamali sa buhay. Lalo ngayong magpapasko, salamat sa mga biyaya na inyong iniabot,” he said.
Balungay recognized the efforts of CPOs in organizing such activity despite their busy schedule, as she committed to support this Christmas outreach program in Bahay Pag-asa.
“We hope this is not the first and last Christmas outreach program here. Instead, we will continue to do this yearly dahil maganda ang activity natin na ito,” she said.
The CPO is an organization of the human resource management officers of local government units and national government agencies. – Christian Allister Tubadeza
