DANGAL NG BAYAN — The Civil Service Commission announced that Dr. Annie Claire Botengan Pekas, Medical Specialist III at the Luis Hora Memorial Regional Hospital in Bauko, Mountain Province, is among the 10 awardees of the 2022 Dangal ng Bayan Outstanding Public Officials and Employees Award. Pekas pioneered the LHMRH’s emergency responder called the ER-26, created its ambulatory surgery unit, established the One Hospital Command of Mountain Province, and performed surgical operations even after her duty hours without claiming remuneration or compensatory days off. Recently, CSC-CAR officials led by Director Nerissa Canguilan awarded a certificate of recognition to Pekas for being a Dangal ng Bayan semi-finalist in December 2022 in Baguio City.
