The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Cordillera has adopted a work from home scheme and is maintaining a skeletal workforce to attend only to urgent concerns.
Work arrangement within the DENR-Cordillera Office and the field offices is now limited to the provision of skeletal forces, which means a limited number of employees shall report to the office at a given day.
Other personnel could work from home, and are on an “on call basis.”
At the DENR-Cordillera Office, Benguet Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, and Cenro Baguio, only urgent and necessary concerns such as request for cutting permits for trees posing danger to lives and properties will be acted upon by the personnel who are present as skeletal force.
“We at the DENR-Cordillera need to carry out our public duty without compromising the welfare of our personnel too. Our regional office and field offices are still open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to entertain visitors. But we advise our clients to refrain from face to face transactions and instead contact us at our cell numbers,” Pablo added.
The scheme is in line with the Order of President Rodrigo R. Duterte which provides for the Enhanced Community Quarantine over Luzon and further guidelines for the management of the coronavirus disease-2019 throughout the country.
The DENR-Cordillera hotline numbers are 0998-589-5974, 0917-855-5953, and 0925-711-8445. – Pearl Nerja
