FAMILY GRAVEYARD — The patriarchs and matriarchs of the Tagel family in Pico, La Trinidad were buried side by side within the family’s compound as a sign of respect to the dead with the Ibaloys putting premium on kinship and filial piety. This practice of placing the tomb of the departed loved ones within the family property is mostly practiced in Benguet.
