Registration is now ongoing for this year’s edition of the Flower Tee Golf Tournament set at the Baguio Country Club Feb. 22.
Organizers projected that hundreds of local parbusters from Baguio and neighboring provinces will see action in the annual tournament that will adopt the System 36 format.
There will be class A, B, and C categories for the men’s division, aside from the ladies, guests, seniors, and juniors’ divisions.
The event, which is part of the traditional events of the annual Baguio Flower Festival celebrations, will also feature special awards such as the nearest to the pin, most accurate drive, longest drive, and the fairway inspector.
Registration fee is P1,200 for BCC members and junior golfers and P2,000 for non-members. Players can also avail of two mulligans at P200.
Tee-off times can be reserved on a first come, first served basis by contacting Glai del Rosario at 0917-168-8866.
Several more sport events will be lined up for the annual Panagbenga such as taekwondo, karatedo, national arenas showdown, and body building.
The annual Panagbenga with the theme “Panagbenga 2020: Blooming through the years” will kick off on Feb. 1 and ends in March 8.
The month-long festivities will start will a grand opening parade, which will also serve as the elimination round for drum and lyre and street dancing competitions. – Harley F. Palangchao
