Close to 2,000 barangay health workers and nutrition scholars in Benguet may now avail of free checkup at the Benguet General Hospital.
The checkup is targeting 1,620 recipients will include complete blood count, urinalysis, electrocardiogram, chest X-ray PA view, whole abdominal ultrasound, fasting blood sugar, total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL, blood uric acid, creatinine, alanine transaminase, anti HBs quantitative, breast ultrasound and prostate specific antigen.
“Health is a fundamental right of the people,” said Benguet caretaker Eric Yap, who sponsored the free checkup.
The free checkup will done by batch and those living in far flung areas will be provided with free transportation courtesy of the Office of the Congressman.
Yap said soon, more sectors will be included in the free checkup. – Press release
