Don’t know about you but this near-sighted Ibaloy writer can’t wait for this year to be over because like 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic has brought so much death, economic destruction, and misery to most people worldwide. I said most because according to reports, many of those who belong to the top one percent richest persons even got richer. Good for them. Sana all.
If only we had the power to erase the past, we would surely erase the last two years and maybe even the coming years due to Omicron variant and fast forward when Covid-19 is totally defeated or at least no longer infectious or deadly, if it is at all possible. So, please do still adhere strictly to minimum public health standards and please get fully vaccinated and have your booster shots for your sake and that of others.
Baguio Association of Bars and Entertainers (Babes) president Allan Bandoy said they don’t tolerate bars operating in Baguio that continue to violate rules, ordinances, and Covid-19 health protocols. Babes is an honorary member of the AIDS Watch Council.

FYI: How to safely celebrate Christmas and New Year.
Avoid social gatherings with drinking, long meals in large groups, conversation without wearing a mask, living together in a small limited space or communal sharing, switching of locations while in a gathering, if possible restrict unvaccinated household members to their homes, and seek medical assistance if experiencing symptoms
Stay safe everyone!

Here’s “Fire and Ice” by Robert Frost: “Some say the world will end in fire,/ Some say in ice./ From what I’ve tasted of desire/ I hold with those who favor fire./ But if it had to perish twice,/ I think I know enough of hate/ To say that for destruction ice/ Is also great/ And would suffice.”

Let’s end with a prayer: “Thankful Lord, that You’ve blessed me beyond measure. Thankful that in my heart lives life’s greatest treasure. That You, dear Jesus, reside in that place and I’m ever so grateful for Your unending grace.
May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ continue to bless and keep us all safe.
