Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon has been given another four-year term to serve as university president of Ifugao State University (IFSU), the lone higher education institution of Ifugao.

In a meeting on June 10, the Board of Regents (BOR), the highest governing body, reappointed Dugyon based on the merits of her performance in the preceding term validated through an evaluation process conducted by the Evaluation Committee for Presidency headed by Dr. Emerlinda R. Roman.

She was sworn into office by and IFSU BOR Chair and Commission on Higher Education Commissioner Marita R. Canapi.

Dugyon is the second president of IFSU and the first woman to ever hold the top position in the 101-year old institution. Her second term will be until June 2026.

“Tested with fire during the most challenging of times, I feel a heightened sense of personal responsibility and commitment to continue leading IFSU to create breakthroughs and reach a new level of achievement”, Dugyon said. “I believe that I still have the zeal and mettle to steer IFSU towards its vision to be globally recognized university, upholding excellence amidst rich cultural heritage”. – Faith B.
