The Department of Agrarian Reform-Ifugao turned over the P1.2 million worth flatbed dryer to the Hope Farmers’ Organization (HPO) with 60 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) and members.

The project, which is under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Program-Major Crop-Based Block Productivity Enhancement, includes the construction of a flatbed shed and the installation of a flatbed dryer with complete accessories. The equipment was turned over on Aug. 29 in Barangay Namnama, Alfonso Lista.

“This is a great help for us farmers during the harvest season, especially when it’s raining. At least now, our corn won’t rot anymore. We can ensure that we will gain more profit because we can guarantee the good quality of our product,” said ARB and HPO president Nonilon Guingahan

Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer Leonor C. Bascos led the ceremony, which symbolizes a collective effort towards progress in the agrarian reform sector.

A memorandum of agreement and a trust agreement was conducted to serve as a testament to the commitment of all parties involved. – Press release
