LAGAWE, Ifugao – The provincial government has started accepting applications for the Tertiary Education Assistance Program (TEAP) for school year 2022-2023 from the 11 municipalities.

Each barangay was provided three slots or beneficiaries from low-income families.

Application forms can be downloaded from the “Ibfhah” Ifugao Facebook page. The deadline of application is Aug. 30.

First year applicants must submit a certified photocopy of Form 138-A if not enrolled or assessment form for those enrolled, birth certificate from the Local Civil Registrar, certificate of parent’s annual income, and barangay certificate.

College students must submit application form, certificate of grades from previous semester, enrollment form, birth certificate from the Local Civil Registrar, certificate of parent’s annual income, and barangay certificate.

The TEAP provides P3,500 per semester for each beneficiary to cover miscellaneous expenses. Additional P1,500 is provided for summer classes that are required in the grantee’s curriculum.  The program is pursuant to Ordinance 2004-7 establishing the TEAP for poor but deserving secondary graduates of Ifugao to pursue their tertiary education in public higher educational institutions in the province. – Marcelo Lihgawon
