Products of the Federation of Ifugao Brethren are on display at the Malcolm Square until Dec. 18.

The council approved Resolution 543, s. 2022 upon the recommendation of the committee on market, trade and commerce and agriculture.

In approving the request, the council imposed there should be no obstruction fronting U-Need Supermarket and PS Bank, especially along the delivery and parking area; private vehicles are not allowed to park or enter Perfecto St.; no loading and unloading of stall goods inside Perfecto St. premises to avoid obstructions, and delivery trucks shall park outside the bollards or barriers adjacent to the Bank of the Philippine Islands-Malcolm Square branch and a maximum of 15 stalls shall be allowed to avoid overcrowding in the area.

David M. Dumangeng, president of the Federation of Ifugao Brethren, in his letter requested permission from the city government to conduct a promotional activity for their local products to help them recover from their losses during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The event is seen to support some of their provincemates who are in need of financial assistance after being having been heavily impacted by the ongoing pandemic.

Malcolm Square Punong Barangay Hadji Imran A. Baniaga interposed no objection to the requested use of the said area as long as the city council will approve a resolution to the said effect and that the association pays the corresponding barangay tax. Allan Abayao, licensing officer and head, City Permits and Licensing Division, recommended approval of the fund raising activity subject to compliance by the association with the requirements imposed by the city. – PIO release
