The Land Transportation Office-Cordillera will open a new extension office in Alfonso Lista, Ifugao to serve the people of Aguinaldo, Alfonso Lista, and Mayoyao; and Natonin and Paracelis in Mountain Province.

The opening of the LTO-Alfonso Lista extension office is a result of the initiative of Rep. Solomon R. Chungalao who, in 2019, called the attention of LTO Asec. Edgar C. Galvante on his request for the establishment of the office.

The extension office aims to lessen the travel time of clients from the five municipalities in going to Lagawe or in Bontoc, Mountain Province district offices for their registration and licensing transactions.

LTO-Cordillera Director Francis Ray A. Almora said the Alfonso Lista district office is situated in Santa Maria Poblacion. The building was constructed and will be used under a usufruct agreement with the local government unit.

The opening of the district office is timely, especially during the pandemic where movement of people and motorists are limited.

Among the initial services offered are renewal of registration of vehicle, renewal of driver’s license, and issuance of student permit and conductor’s permit.

The Alfonso Lista extension office will be headed by Engr. Norman C. Dupli.

The district office in Lamut will still serve Asipulo, Banaue, Hingyon, Hungduan, Lagawe, Kiangan, and Tinoc.

The Alfonso Lista office is the second extension office of LTO-Cordillera since its creation 33 years ago.

LTO-Apayao, which was the first extension office, was converted to a regular district office in Dec. 4, 2012 through Republic Act 10347. – Press release
