Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan signed Resolution 454, s. 2023, authorizing Mayor Benjamin Magalong to represent the city government of Baguio and enter into a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Health-Cordillera for the use of the measles-rubella oral polio vaccine supplemental immunization activity mobilization fund for the incentives of the city’s health workers.
The council considered Magalong’s letter dated July 3 that requested the legislative body to grant him autho-rity to enter into the agreement with the health agency.
An amount of P968,000 from the DOH was allocated for the mobilization fund’s implementation as incentives for the city’s health workers. This will used to pay for the services they rendered from May 1 to 31, according to the measure.
The resolution added the MOA should be submitted to the city council for confirmation. – Gaby B. Keith
