The Civil Service Commission-Mountain Province is encouraging groups and individuals to submit their nominations for the search for outstanding public servants.
The deadline for nomination is March 31 and the recognition of awardees will be held September in time for the Philippine Civil Service month celebration.
Anita Paredes, director of CSC-Bontoc, the search aims to promote excellence, recognize, and reward public servants who have displayed exemplary conduct in public service.
She added it aims to motivate or inspire government employees to improve the quality of their performance and instill deeper involvement in public service.
Government employees can be nominated individually or as a group under three categories namely: Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award, Pag-asa Award, and Dangal ng Bayan Award.
Any individual or organization within the government may nominate their colleagues for the award.
A group or team may be nominated even if there are member/s who failed to meet the qualifications set by the CSC.
However, said member/s shall be excluded from the prize if the team or group they represent wins.
A public servant who died in the line of duty or in the pursuit of his or her official duties and responsibilities as a civil servant may be nominated for the Posthumous Award. – Joan Inggoy
