Bodybuilding enthusiasts will vie for the Mr. Adivay bodybuilding competition on Nov. 30 at the Ben Palispis Hall, Capitol building in La Trinidad, Benguet.

Organized by the Exerwild Fitness Center in partnership with the provincial government, the open invitational event features the men’s physique, bodybuilding, and Ms. Bikini Fitness.

Categories for the bodybuilding event are novice, flyweight (below 60 kilograms), bantamweight (60 to 65-kg.), lightweight (65 kg to 70-kg.), and open weight (70-kg. and above).

The novice division is open to Benguet and Baguio residents only and who never won in any top fiveof a bodybuilding competition, except in school-based competitions. 

In the men’s physique, class 1 should be below five feet and six inches while the class 2 division are for five feet and six inches and above contestants.

Prizes await the top winners with the champion receiving P6,000 cash, first runner-up with P3,000, second runner-up at P2,000, third runner-up with P1,300, and fourth runner-up with P1,000.

The overall champion in bodybuilding will receive P5,000. All top winners will receive a wooden trophy while all registrants will be given a certificate of participation.

Interested participants can register from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Ben Palispis Hall with a P500 fee.

Organizers remind participants to appear in person upon registration and to present a valid identification card.

An athlete may participate in one weight division in bodybuilding and one class division in the physique only.

The organizers have the right to disqualify any athlete who violates the protocols even after the event.

The award of any participant found in violation of the rules will be recalled.

A digital weighing scale will be used during the one-time weigh-in for the event, which has been a steady starting point of the province’s multi-awarded bodybuilders. – Ofelia C. Empian
