Athletes from Pasig Kickboxing Team have emerged champions in the 2024 Baguio Summer Kickboxing Championship at Middle Quirino Hill Gymnasium on June 14 to 16.

The Pasig team bagged seven gold, three silver and five bronze medals led by gold medalists Vincent Gerald Decena, Cherish Yhuna Mercado, Katniss Mishiko Caasi, Nathan Ivan Buenconsejo, Joelle Zerachiel Canillo, Rishane Ashira Abellar, and Rayya Abellar.

Superfoot Gym from Tabuk City is in second place with four gold, four silver, and one bronze medal in the event organized by the Samahang Kickboxing ng Pilipinas Baguio City chapter.

Gold medalists from the team are AJ Angelo Oliveros, Mark Jabez Onsal, Japheth Pallogan, and Shieva Maguiwao. 

On third place are Goals Gym Baguio with four gold, and two bronze medals courtesy of gold medalists Jero Calias, Aron Dulos, Jethro Calias, and Jaedan Picsiwen. 

Making it in fourth place is Rizal Kickboxing Association with three gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

Leading the charge from Rizal are gold medalists Ainne Lapinig, Roger Bermejo, and Zyanshanel Bilog. 

Lions Nation MMA settled for fifth place with gold medals each mined by Jhoezelle Mhae Sagayo and Renson Cornel, and an overall medal haul of two gold, four silver, and one bronze medal.

Other gold medalists are Dragons Boxing Stable’s Kieth Mckntosh Moncado and Clarisse Cayat; Billy Chinalpan and Louise Allen Dela Cruz of the Baguio Central University Combative Club; and Ryan Joe Bestre and Sheldon Pageet of the Benguet State University Combative Club.

Winning a gold medal apiece are Paul Pinca of Faith Fitness Center, Junvismarc Bagni Syadi Fitness Center Hybrids, Jason Co of Brave Mountaineers of Mountain Province, Elcanor Mangusan of MAX Fusion, Syesha Casel of Pinget National High School Kafagway Panthers, Caelan Lee Frost of Dojo Kaizen 2600, Joshua Nguaban of Quads X Furukawa MMA, and Mickaela Pablo of Mil-an NHS team.

Around 187 athletes from 31 teams from Baguio City, Benguet, Tabuk City, Pasig City, Rizal Province, Olongapo City and Bontoc, Mountain Province participated.  

It was backed by the Michael Humiding Sports Promotion and Kafagway Combat Sports Promotion in partnership with the city government of Baguio and hosted by the Middle Quirino Hill barangay.
