Uniqlo Philippines through SM Foundation and SM City Baguio turned over 5,000 pieces of Uniqlo Airism facemasks to the Philippine Military Academy on Oct. 20.

The donation is in honor of almost 115,000 frontliners all over the country, with medical professionals and law enforcement officers the first to receive the face masks.

Uniqlo has pledged to support and help frontliners and those who have been working hard to save citizens and communities highly affected by the pandemic by giving Airism masks. The company targets to provide to 500,000 beneficiaries.

Unlike the usual disposable masks, Uniqlo’s Airism face mask has a three-tier structure that can filter 99 percent of particles, including bacteria and pollen. It can also block ultraviolet rays.

Incorporating the brand’s Airism technology, the face mask is made of lightweight, breathable material that stretches to its wearer’s form without the constricting feel. – Press release
