Other sporting events such as the Private School Athletic Association (Prisaa) meet held every April might be included as a recognized event of the city government of Baguio if  the proposed amendments to the Sports Code is approved.

Sangguniang Kabataan Federation president Levy Lloyd Orcales said the city council will consider adding Prisaa to the list of sports that will be recognized by the city government so that athletes who will win in said event can avail incentives from the city.

University of the Cordilleras Athletic Director Danilo Cong-o said he earlier requested for the inclusion of the Prisaa to the Sports Code but he was not able to attend the final round of consultations.

The Prisaa national games is an annual sports competition for college and senior high athletes from private schools, colleges, and universities.

Founded in 1953, the Prisaa is an association of private schools, Christian schools, and home school athletic departments throughout the Philippines.

Cong-o said private schools in the city are active participants of the Prisaa.

The recently passed Sports Code recognizes the following events: Palarong Pambansa, Baguio Benguet Educational Athletic League, Cordillera Administrative Region Tertiary Association Games, Commission on Higher Education games, Batang Pinoy, LuzViMin friendship games, Philippine National Games, sports tourism events and sectoral sports, Association of Barangay Council sportsfest, SK Federation sportsfest, Baguio Sportswriters Association Awards Nights, Kafagway Sports Awards, and other special events promoting sports under the sponsorship of the city government or sanctioned by concerned sports agencies or committees. – Ofelia C.
