Reluctant father and not a high school graduate
I am pregnant and my husband does not want to have another child. I don’t understand how he can just think that we can remove this child when I told him that it was unsafe because the rhythm method that the doctor taught me to use indicated unsafe periods. He was supportive of this for more than a year and we succeeded until two months ago. I was even so proud and told my girlfriends the system actually works if you have supportive partners. Then he wants to abort the child now. We have only one child who is five and I feel that this child is worth keeping. Help me.

You surprise me because I have not heard of rhythm method users in a long time. Knowing that some couples are able to discipline themselves in this method is amazing in this day and age. I admire both of you for being devout Catholics and I am sure that he will change his mind about abortion. He is aware. I am sure that this is God’s will and plan.
Pray for your husband,
I just realized that it is difficult to get ahead in life without a high school diploma. I rebelled a lot against my parents thinking that there is no need for diplomas because the family has a business. My father allowed me to operate the bicycle shop and so far, I have been able to make the business run. But now I want to learn how to make some parts that I feel will improve bicycles. I can’t enroll in Technical Education and Skills Development Authority. I am ashamed to admit it but I need help in getting my diploma. Are there options?

There is the Alternative Learning Systems that can give you your equivalency for high school. I suggest that you find out at the Department of Education Division Office about enrolment. I am sure that class has not started and depending on your location you can go to the closest center near you. Schedules are also available. God bless you.
Keep on improving,
