Saint Louis University is once again hosting the Bar examinations, which will be held in November.
The Bar exams are set on Nov. 9, 13, 16, and 20.
SLU is one of the 14 local testing centers for the digital and regional examinations for the country’s aspiring lawyers.
The Supreme Court announced in Bar Bulletin 10, s. 2022, issued Oct. 19 the local testing centers for this year’s Bar exams, where SLU is one of the three sites chosen for Luzon.
This is the second year that SLU is accommodating examinees of the digital Bar exams, which was first conducted in February this year for the 2020 and 2021 examinees.
The other two schools the High Court identified as local testing centers in Luzon are the De La Salle Lipa in Batangas and the University of Caceres in Naga City, Camarines Sur.
Five testing sites were identified in the National Capital Region and three schools each were named in Visayas and Mindanao. There were 31 local testing centers in the 2020/2021 Bar exams.
The SC reminded examinees to monitor their Bar personalized login unified system to view their final local testing centers.
Examinees were also reminded the laptops they used in downloading and installing the testing software, Examplify, should be the same laptops to be used on the examination dates to ensure they will not incur technical issues.
The regional Bar examinations is one of the SC’s innovations to level the playing field for examinees coming from outside Metro Manila, which was proposed even before the Covid-19 pandemic hit.
The pandemic drove the SC to pursue the regional holding of the Bar exams and made it digital, first in response to the restrictions imposed by the government on mass gathering at the height of the pandemic. – Jane B. Cadalig
