The Professional Regulation Commission announced that Saint Louis University is the top performing school in the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination conducted in January. 
All the 139 examinees from SLU passed the exam, achieving 100 percent passing rate compared with the 67.69 percent national passing rate.
SLU alumna Angelica Mae Bautista Aguilar also ranked fifth among the examinees with a rating of 89.60 percent.   
Out of the 2,835 examinees, 1,919 passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medical Technology in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga. 
The PRC also announced from March 9 to March 29, registration for the issuance of professional identification card (ID) and certificate of registration will be done online.
Successful examinees should go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register are required to bring the downloaded and accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), two passport-sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps and one piece short brown envelope.
Successful examinees should register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. The PRC will announce the date and venue for the oath taking of the new medical technologists. 
The PRC advised that those who failed, but had obtained a general rating of at least 70 percent, can register as medical laboratory technician.
SLU was ranked as the second best performing school in the March 2019 Medical Technologist board exams. It had a 99.65 passing rate with 285 passers including one in the Top 10. – Redjie M. Cawis
