The Commission on Elections has set aside two Saturdays of September for the registration of persons with disability and senior citizens.
Sept. 11 is for PWDs and Sept. 18 is for the elders.
City Election Officer John Paul Martin said the two Saturdays aim to facilitate the registration of PWDs and seniors citizens.
The Comelec has yet to set any target in the number of registrants from the two sectors.
The registrants must bring a valid identification or a birth certificate.
Registration and other voter transactions such as transfer of registration, correction or change of entry in voter registration, and reactivation of voting status are currently done at the SM-Baguio.
“Our office is small and we do not want to crowd people that is why we requested an area in the mall where most people go,” Martin said.
Comelec limits to 300 the number of clients it serves in a day.
As of Sept. 9, the city listed 151,235 voters.
The registration of voters will be until Sept. 30. – PNA
