The Social Security System Baguio will implement number coding scheme starting March 1.
SSS Baguio Branch Head Nancy Umoso said the procedure is part of the precautionary measures to avoid office congestion and transmission of the Covid-19.
“We encourage our members and employers to transact with SSS on a scheduled day depending on the last digit of their social security (SS) numbers. Those with SS numbers ending in 1 and 2 are allowed to transact every Mondays, 3 and 4 every Tuesdays, 5 and 6 every Wednesdays, 7 and 8 on Thursdays, and 9 and 0 on Fridays. We humbly appeal for everyone’s cooperation as we prioritize everyone’s safety, just like we prioritize their transactions with us,” Umoso said.
Scheduled customers will be available only for payment of contributions and loans, compliance to SS number application through the SSS web, pick-up of UMID card, presentation of original document/s to support benefit claim application, and use of E-center facility and those with branch appointment schedule.
For death and funeral benefit application, the SS number of the member concerned shall be followed.
“We encourage our members to use our online platforms like Text-SSS and SSS Mobile App and to register to My.SSS account,” Umoso added.
Under the My.SSS account, members may do several transactions such as submission of salary and calamity loan application; maternity notification; retirement benefit claims except for those with children below 21 years old and surface and underground miners; and generation of Payment Reference Number.
Benefit applications such as the unemployment benefit and funeral benefit claim for SSS member-claimants with electronic disbursement can also be done online.
Likewise, enrollment of bank accounts into the Disbursement Account Enrollment Module wherein members are required to upload supporting documents can also be done via My.SSS portal.
Other online transactions available for members are issuance of SSS number, updating of contact information, request for membership records, member data change request for simple corrections, simulation of computation of future retirement benefit, enrollment in PESO and Flexi Funds (for OFWs), and benefit re-disbursement module.
Meanwhile, employers may submit Sickness Benefit Reimbursement Application, R1-A or employment report for newly hired, collection list and employment reports, and employees’ maternity and sickness notifications, monitor the status of submitted sickness and maternity reimbursement claims, update contact information through R8, certify their employees’ salary loans and retirement applications, download R3 and LMS File Generators, file for sickness benefit reimbursement, enroll their disbursement accounts with uploading of supporting documents, and generate or edit PRN for contributions and loans using the My.SSS accounts.
“Employers who would like to check and print their SSS records such as employer information, payment history and re-imbursement information need not go to the branch since these transactions can be done online,” Umoso said.
Member and employer queries may be coursed through the corporate email of the branch at [email protected]. – Press release
