BANGUED, Abra – Tineg Mayor Corinthia Crisologo recognized local government employees for their contributions in improving quality service to the people that form part of their exemplary government service.
“Bayan ng Tineg, umasenso ka” of the LGU is a regional awardee of the Presidential Lingkod Bayan in the 2021 Search for Outstanding Government Workers of the Civil Service Commission.
“This award is indeed a humbling experience and definitely will push us more of what is mandated of us, to be more innovative in order to adapt to the challenges of today, tomorrow, and the coming years,” Crisologo said during the Kapihan sa Abra led by the CSC and Philippine Information Agency in the province where all provincial winners of the Honor Awards Program gave their testimonials.
Tineg is becoming popular for its rapid development in the past years.
For the past decades, the municipality was difficult to reach due to poor road condition. Today, Barangay Vira, the first barangay of the municipality, is just a 20-minute ride away from San Juan.
Under the leadership of Crisologo, one of the priority programs of the LGU is the construction and improvement of road networks and transportation system that will facilitate accessibility for socio-economic growth.
The LGU also keeps its records in an orderly manner, which includes the reconstruction of files, formulation of development plans, establishment of database, and systematized management records for transparency.
It is also recognized for initiating strategic activities by bringing programs, projects, and services that directly benefit the communities, such as municipal outreach and caravans and peace covenants that freed the municipality from insurgency.
The municipality is also acknowledged for a thriving tourism industry with the beautiful Kaparkan Falls and Apao Rolling Hills, among other tourist attractions.
The mayor encouraged her fellow civil servants to excel further in their service to the people with utmost integrity and honesty. – Christian Tubadeza
